Permitted Use of Licensed Content

Authorized users are individuals who are permitted to access the Secure Network from on and off-campus and who have been issued an ID and password by the University. Walk-ins and Alumni are allowed.

A journal article may be distributed to authorized users for teaching purposes.

Can be provided to authorized users. Each item shall include appropriate information of the title, author and the Publisher. Copies of the links shall be removed when the course is over.

Limited to one article per issue. Including an appropriate reference is required. Copies will need to be deleted by Member when they are no longer required for the course. Durable links should be used in D2L rather than attaching the PDF.

Simultaneous access by unlimited multiple users permitted.

    Through a secure proxy server (Shibboleth)

  • Interlibrary Loan

    ILL (by post, fax or appropriate secure electronic means) is permitted to non-commercial educational and research institutions. The electronic file needs to be deleted immediately after printing.

  • Distance Education

    Same rules apply as for all off-site authorized users.

  • Perpetual Access

    As of 2008, any subscription that includes online access entitles the subscriber to permanent data rights to that volume, regardless of future subscription status.
