Series 4, sub-series 2: Loose Correspondence. -- 1869 - 1955; predominant 1895 - 1952. -- 7 cm of textual material

Scope and Content: This sub-series primarily contains correspondence written to Stuart, although there are also some letters written by Stuart. Included are both formal and informal correspondence, in the form of letters and postcards. The majority of the correspondence is hand-written, although some of the more formal letters and documents have been typed. Content includes personal, business and political affairs, many of which centre around socialism and/or the schooling system.

Of particular interest are files 1 and 3 which predominantly contain correspondence from Martin Butler and Roscoe A. Fillmore, respectively.

Arrangement is chronological.
