Series 1, sub-series 1: Speeches. -- 1903 - 1949. -- 9 cm of textual material.

Scope and Content: This sub-series consists of manuscripts, most of which appear to have been speeches by H.H. Stuart. The topics are religious and/or political in nature, and focus on issues relating either to the education system or to socialism. The intended audience varied, including Normal School students, political groups, and religious organizations. Although most of these writings were obviously meant to be public addresses, some may possibly have been articles for a newspaper or journal.

Arrangement is roughly chronological.

Notes:

Title: Title is based on content of the sub-series.

Other: Many of these speeches were given an individual title by the author. In cases where a title has been left out, it is indicated as "untitled" on the listing, and the archivist has given descriptive information regarding the speech.
