Custodial history: Most of the photographs in this collection originally formed part of the Sir Charles G. D. Roberts fonds, Lloyd Roberts fonds and Lady Joan Roberts collection. They were separated from these groups of records to facilitate access. Later negatives of many of these images as well as of Roberts family photographs in the Rufus Hathaway collection were made and added to the collection. This collection also includes a few Roberts family photographs acquired from unidentified sources.

Scope and content: This collection contains individual portrait images of Charles G. D. Roberts, members of the Roberts-Bliss family and of Sir Charles's friends and acquaintances including the Rev. George Goodridge Roberts, Emma Wetmore Bliss Roberts, Goodridge Bliss Roberts, William Carman Roberts, Mary (May) Fenety Roberts, Lloyd Roberts, Athelstan Roberts, Bliss Carman, D. M. Bliss and sons, Archibald Lampman, Maude Clark, Thomas MacInnes, Douglas Sladen, Audrey Wurdemann, Francis Sherman and Oliver Wendell Holmes.

It also contains images of Sir Charles with his family and friends including the Rev. George Goodridge Roberts, Emma Wetmore Bliss Roberts, Jane Elizabeth Gostwycke Roberts, Goodridge Bliss Roberts, William Carman Roberts, Lloyd and Leila Roberts, Maud and Douglas Roberts, Edith Roberts, Goodridge Roberts, Bliss Carman, Marshall Saunders, Wilson McDonald, John Elson, Grey Owl, Robert W. Service, A. C. Nash, Lionel Stevenson, Lorne Pierce, Ernest Fewster, Annie Charlotte Dalton and Alexander Maitland Stephen.

Also included are images of the exteriors of St. Ann's Church, Westcock; Christ Church Parish Church (St. Anne's), Fredericton; Christ Church Cathedral, Fredericton ; Linden Hall, Fredericton; [Bokford] House and the rectory on George Street, Fredericton. Postcards of St. Ann's Church, Westcock and Christ Church Parish Church (St. Anne's), Fredericton are also included.
