Publishing Activities. -- 1969-1973. -- 63 cm of textual records

Scope and content: This series documents the various stages of publication. It consists of edited or working copies of articles and editorials as well as draft submissions. Some files contain correspondence, reaction letters from readers and newspaper clippings. A run of issues of The Mysterious East is also included. The series consists of 3 subseries: 1. Editorial Copy, 2. Miscellaneous Related Files, 3. Published Issues.

Of special interest are: file 3 which contains 5 poems written by Alden Nowlan and submitted on invitation to the magazine; and files 4 and 29 which include respectively draft briefs prepared by the editors on the mass media and the suppression of information.

Arrangement is chronological for subseries 1 and 3. Subseries 2 is arranged alphabetically.

Title based on contents of series.

Subseries 2 was created by archivist from materials which had not been filed by creator at the time of acquisition.

Researchers should consult the subject series file list for other material relating to draft and published articles.
