Scope and Content: This series contains items relating to John Haseks personal life.  Included is information regarding his mothers estate, pension claims, correspondence, material relating to his death, as well as a number of miscellaneous items such as postcards, his resume, financial matters, his SIN card, and a performance bond.  Of particular interest is a file comprised of correspondence and articles concerning Milton Gregg.

1.  The Estate of Eva Moudry -- 1989
Some portions of this file are restricted.

 2.  Pension Material -- 1982-1991
Included in this file is material relating to John Haseks pension.  Included are legal documents, correspondence, pension information and tax forms.  It should be noted that some of the material in this folder is related closely with series 2, file 10

3. Correspondence -- 1965-1991
This file includes correspondence of a personal nature, from numerous different sources.  The majority of the correspondence is written to Hasek, although there are also a few letters written by Hasek.  A large portion of the correspondence in this file informally discusses military-related issues, and is therefore similar in nature to the correspondence found in series 2, file 9.

4.  Material Relating to John Haseks  Death -- 1993-1996; predominant 1994
Included in this file are articles about John Hasek (both while he was in a coma, and after his death), funeral programs, personal correspondence, and a book about the Freedom Forum Journalists Memorial in Arlington, Virginia.

5.  Milton Gregg -- 1976-1981
This file contains correspondence to, from, and about Milton Gregg, as well as articles which Hasek collected concerning Gregg.  There is other  material relating to Gregg throughout the fonds, specifically in series 1, sub-series 1, file 1(b) and file 4; as well as series 6, file 8, and series 13.

6.  Miscellaneous -- 1975-1990
Included in this file are a number of diverse items, including a certificate, a résumé, airline tickets, a statutory declaration, newspaper articles regarding an incident in Haseks life where he tried to save a suicidal man, a performance bond, a personnel security clearance form, postcards, business cards and a SIN card.
