28th May 1930

R.H. Hathaway 258 Garden Avenue Toronto 3, Canada Dear Mr. Hathaway —

I can not understand anyone telling you that
I had disposed of my
Carman collection. Carman was
a very dear personal friend whom it was my privelege during his lifetime to help in a number of
little ways — as he himself gladly did me many kindnesses.

The information regarding the several items
you enumerate in your letter I will try to dig up
for you in the course of the next week or ten days.
I hope that will be in time for you.

Very sincerely
Frederic Sherman
