Appin,
Jan 22nd 1921.
Dear Hathaway:

Carman has not
postponed his visit—unless he is going to
the
Arts & Letters after his other dates. I
had a letter from him yesterday. He is
to read in
Guelph on the evenings of

Feb. 8th & 9th.—one night for the
students of the U.A.C and one for the
public. Both these dates are for $100 each.
I am not trying to get more than
ten dates for I do not want to over—tax
his strength, but if you know

Sandwell you might write to him
suggesting a date for
Montreal about
the end of February.
Carman could go
there on his way back to
New York.

Hope to be able to drop in on you next
Friday morning when I will be in
Toronto.

As ever:
Peter McArthur
