My dear McArthur:
Toronto,
March 30,1920.
Mr. Peter McArthur,
Appin,
Ontario
Thanks for your letters of
March 25and
27.
You may as well prepare yourself to go the limit of half-an-hour
to-morrow evening, for I feel certain that if you once get going about
your beloved
Kavin the gathering will not let you stop until you want
to. Indeed, I am assuring everyone that , with all due respect for the
unknown, or the almost unknown,
Sassoon, you are going to provide the
real “treat” of the evening.
I have noted the desire you express to have the posters handy
so that you may proceed to the auction part of the program immediately
after you have said your sayand arrangements will be made to that end.
I have also noted your request to send a ticket to your sister-in-
law and another to you at the
Walker House, and will give it due
attention.
I must add that a few of us are proposing to show you some ex —
pression of our appreciation and thanks for your great goodness in
connection with the Carman Benefit and I hope you will be prepared to
give us an opportuniy to do so.This may involve your staying over in
Toronto for a day at least.
Yours truly,
